Music of Hungars Cure

Though the Hungars Cure Choir is our church choir, it is also in some ways a community choir that promotes and shares the musical arts through our Anglican choral tradition. The Cure Choir is made up of dedicated volunteer members from both Hungars Church and Christ Church, as well as other residents of the Shore from varied walks of life and faith backgrounds, and professional section leaders.

Our liturgy and music is quintessentially Episcopal, drawing primarily from the 1970 Book of Common Prayer and The Hymnal 1982. Our choral repertoire, though varied, is rooted in the Anglican choral tradition, and includes music from 12th century Gregorian chant to music of living composers and everything in between.  A full schedule or this program year’s repertoire can be seen below.

If you have any interest in choral music, consider joining the Hungars Cure Choir. No previous musical experience is required. We rehearse on Thursdays at 5:00 PM September-June at Hungars Church. Our Sunday service schedule rotates between Hungars Church and Christ Church.

Please reach out to our Director of Music & Organist. All are welcome!
