The Reverend Daniel Lee Crockett retired

from Hungars Parish November 29, 2019.

Currently we use supply Priests to conduct services.

The Rev. Mr. Daniel Lee Crockett began his tenure as the 49th Rector of Hungars Cure Parish on April 1, 2014. Mr. Crockett is a 1994 graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity degree, and holds a baccalaureate degree in Philosophy from College of the Ozarks.


A native of the Arkansas/Missouri Ozarks, Mr. Crockett pursued a career as a musician before the priesthood, working with various groups throughout the Ozarks region, including an eight-month stint with country singer Ray Price. Mr. Crockett also worked as a photographer, graphic artist, cook, and bartender. Since his ordination in 1994, he has served parishes in the dioceses of Kentucky, Connecticut, Arkansas and Atlanta.


Mr. Crockett met his wife Star, and her two daughters – Emily and Ann - soon after graduation from seminary, and they were married in 1995. They are grandparents of three boys, all living in Louisville, Kentucky.


Mr. Crockett and his wife enjoy listening to music, watching old movies, hanging out with their dogs, and living on the Eastern Shore, where Mr. Crockett plays upright bass with various local musicians. Star enjoys painting and photography.
